Best Espresso Cups

Having a glass of espresso is a great way to start off your morning. Espresso has much more caffeine per ounce compared to a regular cup of drip coffee and it’s much more cost efficient!

I personally use a Nespresso Inissia Espresso Maker with Nespresso’s superb collection of capsules. I can have a cup of espresso for less than a dollar.

It really saves money in the long run compared to getting a $3+ cup of coffee from Starbucks each day, and you don’t have to wait in those horrible morning lines.

If you want, you can make your espresso appear more delicious. You’ll especially want to do so if you’re serving coffee to guests. The best way to do so is to find the best espresso cups out there.

  1. Harold Import Stackable Porcelain Demi Cup and Saucer Set – 4 cups, 4 saucers, 1 cup rack

Best Espresso Cups Harold Stackable Porcelain Saucer Piece

This porcelain espresso set really gives you the most bang for your buck. It comes with almost everything you need (minus the cute, tiny espresso spoons). With these, you’ll be ready to serve delicious coffee for you and your guests.

You get 4 espresso cups and 4 saucers with this set and as an added bonus, you’ll also get a chrome rack to stack everything up.

This set is very classy and it won’t take up a lot of space on your counter. The cups and saucers are very durable and dish-washer safe.

These cups can contain 4oz of espresso, which is nearly double that of ordinary espresso cups, so you’ll have to use two espresso capsules to fill these up. But hey, the more caffeine, the better!

  1. Ikea espresso stainless steel cups & saucers – 2 cups and 2 saucers

Ikea stainless steel cup & saucers – 2 cups and 2 saucers

When I first saw these stainless steel espresso cups, I thought they looked a little bit strange, but at the same time very modern and classy.

These are very, very durable 2oz espresso cups that can hold at most one serving of espresso. It’s on the small side, but as an added benefit of the stainless steel, these cups feature double walls which will keep your coffee hot for longer periods of time.

These cups also come with stainless steel saucers.

They’re dishwasher safe, but also easily hand-washable.

Now I know that Ikea usually gets a bad rep for their short-lasting furniture, but I can assure you that these cups are really high quality.

  1. Yedi Houseware Classic Espresso Set – Assorted Colors – 6 cups and 6 saucers

Yedi Houseware Classic Espresso Set – Assorted Colors – 6 cups and 6 saucers

Let’s add a little bit of color to this list. This Yedi Houseware Classic espresso set comes in a variety of colors to liven up your coffee experience. These cups are cute and are a nice change of pace compared to the other plain, elegant cups on this list.

These cups are made with high quality porcelain and unlike the other cups on this list, these are only hand-washable. Don’t stick these in the dishwasher!

These are also pretty big cups, being able to hold 4oz of espresso, so you’ll need 2 capsules to fill one of these up.

Each cup comes with a color-matching saucer.

These are a tad bit pricey, but are very durable and beautiful. They’ll bring a more cheery mood to your morning routine.

  1. Villeroy & Boch Newwave Caffe Espresso cups – 2 cups, 2 party plates, and 2 spoons

Villeroy & Boch Newwave Caffe Espresso cups – 2 cups, 2 party plates, and 2 spoons

I love this espresso set especially because it’s so unique compared to all of the other sets you see.

It’s almost like a espresso platter. You have plates with unique cup holders to fit your equally unique swirly espresso cups, and you also get some extra room to hold your tiny spoons and small snacks.

The wavy design of this entire piece overflows with elegance.

These cups can carry 2 ¾ oz of espresso, making it perfect for a single shot of espresso, or a strong double shot.

The quality of this set is amazing and the design is very beautiful.

But of course, a classy, unique display such as this one comes with a hefty price tag.

For only 2 sets, you’ll have to shell out a small fortune. You’re better off with some of the more affordable choices on this list, but if you have guests that you really, really want to impress, this set is the one to get.

  1. Bormioli Rocco Easy Bar Espresso Cups – 12 cups

Bormioli Rocco Easy Bar Espresso Cups – 12 cups

This Bormioli Rocco espresso cup set is my favorite set for many reasons;

  1. It’s high quality
  2. It comes with a whopping 12 cups in one set!
  3. Espresso looks so much more beautiful and artsy in a clear glass.

You get a dozen cups in this set, although you will have to purchase saucers for these separately, if you want. If you do want to pair these cups with saucers, I would suggest getting clear, black, or any dark-colored saucers. White is fine if you like, but I personally think the clear and darker colors better display your espresso in this set.

This set is dishwasher safe, so just chuck them into your machine to clean. No need to hand wash, although they’re super tiny cups, so hand washing them shouldn’t be a pain at all.

These cups measure 2.5 inches tall and can hold 3.5oz of espresso.

What I love about these clear glasses is that you can see all the layers of espresso in your glass. Espresso really is a work of art and it should be displayed like so.

This set really is a jack of all trades and they’re worth so much more than what it’s priced at.

Of course, you will probably also want some espresso spoons to add to your collection (unless you choose the cups from #4). Here are some WMF Manaos Bistro Espresso Spoons that I use. They may seem pricey, but they look cute and elegant when pairing them your tiny espresso sets.

Enjoy your new, best espresso cups and we hope that you’ll invite some guests over for coffee much more often.
